January 2005 - LABOR LAW UPDATE 2005

Senior HR Consultant, Traci Holt took her presentation on the road to Alturas where she presented Labor Law Update 2005 to Modoc County businesses. Eighteen business respresentatives attended this very informative seminar on January 19th from 10a - 12noon. The feedback was outstanding and was a great seminar to launch the monthly business workshops in Modoc County.

Traci's presentation included an overview of the 2005 Labor Law changes for employer compliance. Among the highlights were Benefits for Domestic Partners, Mandatory Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, Worker's Compensation Amendments, and Mandatory Labor Law Posting Requirements. In addition, twenty businesses took advantage of being able to purchase their Labor Law Posters through AFWD, Inc.

February 2005 - WORKER'S COMPENSATION

Nineteen businesses attended the Worker's Compensation workshop provided by Modoc HR Consultant, Ken Cordrey. Based on the attendance at the first two monthly workshops, the Modoc business community is very pleased with the offering of this information by AFWD, Inc.
