Quiznos opened for business on January 19th, 2008. We assisted them with their recruitment by collecting applications and pre-screening applicants. We started the recruitment in November for the supervisors and continued on with fifteen total employees being hired. Wendy Baird the manager of Quiznos was very thankful for all of our help and said, "I really don't know how I would have done it without all of the help from Modoc Employment Center. All of the employees are working out great."

We would like to Congratulate Robert Garcia and Marina Solorio for their new positions at Holiday Market.
Robert relocated to Alturas from Estacada, OR. He came in to utilize our One Stop services and we referred him to Holiday Market. They hired him within a week!
Marina worked with us here at Modoc Employment Center doing a work experience through our partner agency Calworks. She was looking for a job to supplement her Ice Cream Truck Route in the winter and also allow her to continue the Ice Cream Truck in the summer. We spoke with the management at Holiday Market to see if they needed someone in the evenings. Carty the manager told us to send her down and he would interview her and see what he could do. They were able to give her a position that would allow her to also keep her Ice Cream Truck route.
We wish them the best of luck in their new positions.
I would like to thank Mary Martin, Employment Specialist
for submitting this Story.
